Hotel Review: Seda Manila Bay Hotel Review
We were supposed to be in Singapore for my 35th birthday. Flights booked, itinerary planned, bags practically packed. Then a few days before our departure, my daughter had an asthma attack. Anyone with an asthmatic child knows that when it hits, you hold your breath along with them, quite literally. We could not risk being far from her doctors, so we cancelled the trip. Most of our bookings were refundable, thankfully, but I will not pretend I was not a little heartbroken.
My husband had other plans. He booked us into Seda Manila Bay for a staycation, and what started as a pivot ended up being exactly the kind of rest our family needed.
Our Experience
Check-in was smooth and the staff made a strong first impression. Warm, professional, and genuinely attentive from the moment we walked in. That tone carried through the entire stay.
The birthday surprise my husband arranged was a lovely touch. I do not want to spoil the details for anyone planning something similar, but know that the hotel accommodates this kind of personal arrangement. There may be an add-on cost depending on what you request, so it is worth coordinating with the team in advance.
We also received two complimentary tickets to A:Museum as part of our stay. I misplaced mine before we could use them, which is entirely my fault, but worth noting that the hotel does include that perk.
One thing I appreciated was the direct connection to Ayala Malls Manila Bay. We popped over a couple of times during the stay for meals and a bit of walking around. The mall has a good mix of restaurants, and the crowd level is noticeably more relaxed compared to other major malls in the metro, which made it a genuinely pleasant extension of the staycation.
Our Room
We stayed in a Standard Room for two nights. The room comes in at 30 square meters, which is a comfortable size for a couple or a small family. We had twin beds, and the layout made good use of the space.

The room was well-maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable two-night stay. The blackout curtains were a genuine bonus, especially with a child who needs a dark room to sleep well.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at Misto Restaurant, and it was one of the highlights of the stay. We are early risers so we arrived at 6 AM both mornings. At that hour, the dining room had a calm, unhurried pace, steady flow of food coming out but none of the scramble you sometimes get at hotel buffets.
The selection was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, well-prepared, and varied enough that we did not feel like we were eating the same meal twice. Everything we tried exceeded what we expected from a hotel breakfast at this price point.

The game room had equipment available, but guests need to go all the way down to the front desk to borrow it. There were no instructions posted inside the room and no staff assigned to assist. Playtime is capped at 45 minutes, and given the back-and-forth involved, that window gets eaten up quickly. We skipped it because the logistics outweighed the appeal.
The children's playroom is a nice space, but the toy selection is limited. Younger kids will enjoy it for a short while, but do not expect it to keep them occupied for a long stretch.
The kiddie pool is not heated, which is fine for warmer days but worth knowing if you are visiting during cooler months or planning an early morning swim.
The pool area and courtyard were well-maintained, and the overall facilities felt clean and cared for throughout our stay.
About the Hotel
Seda Manila Bay is a 4-star hotel located in Parañaque's Entertainment City, right beside Ayala Malls Manila Bay. The location does a lot of the heavy lifting here. You have front-row seats to the famous Manila Bay sunsets, direct access to one of the least crowded large malls in Metro Manila, and enough restaurants and activities nearby to fill a full weekend without going far.
The hotel is operated by Ayala Land Hospitality and carries that familiar Seda polish: clean lines, modern design, and a level of service that feels consistent from the lobby to the room.
