Hotel Review: Playa Azul Baler
Eight hours on the road from Manila to Baler, and the first thing we saw when we pulled up to Playa Azul was Sabang Beach sitting right across the street. After that long a drive with a kid in the back seat, that view did a lot of the work.

Playa Azul is a 3-star hotel in Baler, directly in front of Sabang Beach and the boardwalk. We booked the Standard Triple Room.
Our Experience at Playa Azul Baler
Location is the biggest thing this hotel has going for it. You walk out the door and you're at the boardwalk. The beach is right there. For a family that had just spent the entire day in a car, being able to step outside and be at the water in under a minute was worth more than any amenity.
We stayed on the 3rd floor. There's no lift, which I'll admit made me pause when I saw the stairs and our bags. The staff carried our luggage up without being asked, and they brought everything back down on checkout day too. Small thing, but it stuck with me.
The room was spacious for three people. One full bed for us and one twin for our daughter, so nobody was negotiating for space at bedtime. The beds were comfortable. Aircon worked well.

Breakfast at Playa Azul Baler
Breakfast is included in the room rate. It's plated, not a buffet, so the choices are limited. The serving sizes were generous enough that none of us went looking for a second meal after.

Playa Azul Baler is a beachfront property about 1.8 miles from the Baler Hanging Bridge, with on-site dining and free WiFi throughout.
