Hotel Review: Stellar Potter Ridge Tagaytay

We spent a night at Stellar Potter Ridge Tagaytay during one of our spontaneous weekend getaways. I’ve been curious about this Tagaytay hotel for a while, especially since it’s part of the Astoria group. It sits right along the ridge, not too far from Twin Lakes and Yoki’s Farm, so it was easy to squeeze in a few side trips too.

We arrived a bit late, around 8 PM, but check-in was smooth.

The staff handed us their signature welcome drinks and mini bibingka, which was a nice touch after a long drive.

Now here’s something you should know: the layout of the building can be a bit confusing. Reception is on the fourth floor, but our room was on the first. There’s no elevator, so you’ll need to go up and down several flights of stairs. Not the most ideal if you're carrying a lot or have a kid in tow. I guess it counts as a bit of leg day.

We stayed in a (2) Deluxe Room, which came with a queen-sized bed. The room itself was well-kept and modern. You’ve got everything you’d expect Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with Netflix, a mini fridge, and microwave. The bathroom was clean and came stocked with toiletries and fresh towels.

That said, the room felt small for a family of three. If it’s just you and your partner, it’s just right. But with a kid moving around, things felt a bit tight.

Still, the little touches made it feel special. The bed was comfy, and the AC worked well. This is very important for us who are not fans of sticky air. Plus, everything was spotless.

Like most places along the Tagaytay ridge, this hotel gets points for the view. You won’t see Taal Volcano right from your bed, though. You’ll need to step out into the hallway to really take it in. It’s worth it though as the view is wide and clear.

Parking is available but limited. If you’re staying on a busy weekend, come early or you might have to park a bit tight.

We had our breakfast on their restaurant. Nothing fancy, but it was warm, fresh, and filling. If you’re not big on hotel breakfast, there are plenty of food options nearby too.

Overall, I’d say Stellar Potter Ridge Tagaytay works best for couples or small families looking for a clean, relaxing place with a good location. It’s near some of the best Tagaytay spots, and while the no-elevator setup isn’t ideal, it’s not a dealbreaker.
