Art Sector Gallery and Chimney Cafe 360: Is the View Worth the Trip to Binangonan, Rizal?
If you have been scrolling through photos of sweeping views over Laguna Lake and wondering where exactly that is, chances are you have landed on Art Sector Gallery and Chimney Cafe 360 in Binangonan, Rizal.
Spread across five levels with sightlines that take in the Sierra Madre Mountains, the Pililla Windmills, the lake, and the city lights at night, this place has become a popular destination for day-trippers from Manila looking for something a little different.
We visited on a weekday afternoon, and here is our honest take on the whole experience.
Our Experience
We arrived around noon, which worked out perfectly because we came hungry.
Art Sector has an in-house cafe called Chimney Cafe 360, and since we were already there, lunch made sense.
Menu
We placed our order at around 12:45. The food arrived at 1:30. That is a 45-minute wait for a clubhouse sandwich, a carbonara, a mushroom medley soup, a cinnamon roll, and a slice of cake. We were practically the only people in the place at that point, so the wait felt longer than it should have.
The food itself was decent. Nothing that stopped us mid-bite, but filling enough. The prices are fair for the setting: the clubhouse sandwich and carbonara are both at PHP 299, and the mushroom soup is PHP 199. Keep in mind that the bill comes with 12% VAT and an additional 5% service charge.
Here is the part worth flagging about that service charge: the setup here is self-service. You pick up your food from the counter, get your own condiments, and carry everything back to your table yourself. Paying a service charge on top of that felt like a disconnect, and it was something a few people around us commented on too.
The art displays around the cafe are a nice touch. But if you are expecting something on the scale of Pinto Art Museum, set your expectations accordingly.
The gallery at Art Sector is much smaller and more casual in feel.
The paintings are displayed around the dining area rather than in a dedicated, curated gallery space.
Some of the works do not have titles or artist names listed, which felt like a missed opportunity.

About the Place
Art Sector Gallery and Chimney Cafe 360 sits on Pelican Cliff in Binangonan, Rizal, about an hour from Manila. The location is the main draw.
From the upper levels, you get a panoramic spread of Laguna Lake, the Sierra Madre mountain range, the Pililla Wind Farm, and on clear evenings, the glittering outline of the metro.
The building has five levels, and the rule of the house applies here: the higher you climb, the better the view. The rooftop level gives you the full picture, and it is genuinely impressive. The interiors have an industrial aesthetic throughout: white walls, oversized doors, black furniture, and warm bulb lighting that photographs well and feels relaxed in person.
One thing to note about afternoon visits: the place gets warm. There are fans, but they do not do much against the heat in the middle of the day. If you are planning around comfort, aim for late afternoon or closer to sunset. The light is better for photos anyway, and the temperature drops enough to make sitting outside genuinely enjoyable.
At night, the view takes on a different quality altogether. The city lights spread out below you, the lake catches the reflection, and the whole scene becomes something you will want to sit with for a while.

Entrance fee: PHP 200 on regular days, PHP 225 on holidays.
The entrance fee is non-consumable and non-refundable. Kids are charged at the same rate as adults, so factor that in if you are visiting with family.
Parking is free with curbside spots available.

Skip the midday slot if heat bothers you. The afternoon sun hits the upper levels directly and the fans only do so much. Arrive late afternoon, catch the sunset, and stay for the city lights. That is the version of this place that makes the trip worth it.
The cafe operates on a self-service model. You order, wait for the buzzer, then pick up your food at the counter yourself. Keep that in mind when you see the service charge on your bill.
