Guide to Salcedo Market in Makati

Salcedo Market is the heart and soul of Saturday mornings in Makati. Each week, it transforms into a thriving community market. But calling it just a market doesn't do it justice – it's truly an experience. From 7 AM to 2 PM every Saturday, this open-air market attracts a diverse crowd, all looking to kick off their weekend in style.

As you stroll beneath the shade of towering trees, you'll notice that it's a place for families to bond. With a dedicated playground, the little ones have just as much fun as their parents

Everywhere you look, there are fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruits. There's also fresh meats, seafood, and fish. And if you're searching for something unique, you’ll find artisan breads and delicious preserves—true hidden gems that are hard to come by in the Philippines.

Salcedo Market offers a unique shopping experience with high-quality products, but it’s good to know that prices might be a bit higher than what you’d find at your usual wet and dry markets. However, the quality and the friendly community vibe make it well worth it.

If you want to make the most of your visit, try to get there early, around 7 AM. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so using a ride-sharing service or public transportation might save you some hassle. Plus, vendors start packing up as it gets closer to 1 PM, so arriving early ensures you’ll have the best selection to choose from.
